Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has officially published new frequency policy 2080 and has extended 5GHz band and has now also allowed 865 MHz band and UWB

Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has officially published new frequency policy 2080 on their website. The policy has extended the allowed 5 GHz band as below:5.150 - 5.350 GHz5.470 – 5.650 GHz5.725 – 5.825 GHzMaximum allowed transmitter Output Power for this band is 1W (30 dBm) and maximum  Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) is 4W (36 dBm). Similarly, Ultra Wide Band (UWB) is now permitted in Nepal in 6.0 - 8.5 GHz frequency band for SRD applications. The maximum allowed transmit power (EIRP) of -41,3 dBm/MHz and a maximum peak e.i.r.p. of 0 dBm defined in 50 MHz is applicable for all UWB applications. In the same policy, 865MHz to 868 MHz band has been allocated for IoT, M2M and smart metering operating in non-cellular mode in an non-exclusive and unprotective shared basis. The link to official NTA policy is below but it is in Nepalese language https://nta.gov.np/uploads/contents/Radio%20Frequency%20Policy%20of%20Telecommunication%20Services,%202080.pdf
