On 27th November 2019, Argentina RF Regulator – Ente Nacional de Comunicaciones (ENACOM) – released a new resolution on their website that introduces some changes to the local representative requirements as part of the Type Approval process in Argentina. The most relevant changes outlined in Resolution No. 5424/2019 are as follows:
· The figure of Designated/Authorized Importers remains available, with local importers now permitted to rely on a unique approval done on behalf of a local Argentinian company, which can be leveraged between multiple importers.
· The local representative Argentinian company will have to follow a registration process, however the actual documentation to be provided to ENACOM is still to be established. PCS is currently investigating the documentation requirements here.
With these changes, ENACOM local holder requirements have become more flexible, which would allow local Argentinean companies to hold ENACOM Appro
