The Paraguay National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) has officially issued Resolution 3339/2025, expanding the available spectrum for high-speed mobile services (IMT).
The 3700–3800 MHz has been officially added to Paraguay’s 5G roadmap, designating this band as a "primary service" for mobile internet and data transmission.
To maximize performance, the government is shifting toward wider 50 MHz channels in both the 2.3 GHz and 3.3–3.8 GHz ranges, promising users faster and more stable 5G connections.
To facilitate this rollout, current satellite services in the 3.7–3.8 GHz range are required to migrate to higher frequencies (above 3.8 GHz), clearing the way for 5G NR deployment. The manufacturer should ensure the hardware for 5G devices supports the n77 or n78 bands specifically for the Paraguayan market to speed up the certification process.
