The NBTC issued announcement for public consultation regarding the establishment and revision to below several technical standards.
The public hearing covers following drafts:
General Use Criteria: Frequency and radio communication equipment usage for general applications.
NBTC TS 10xx-256x: Technical standards for non-specific radar applications.
NBTC TS 1011-256x: Technical standards for radar in traffic and land transportation.
General Use Criteria (Issue 2): Updated authorization criteria for general frequency use.
NBTC TS 10xx-256x: Technical standards for 57–64 GHz radiocommunication equipment.
Key Timeline & Next Steps
Public Hearing Period: 4 May – 3 July 2026
Anticipated Formal Announcement: Late 2026 or later.
Effective Date: The draft suggests these will become effective the day following the formal announcement.
