Following the implementation of Circular No. 14/2026/TT-BKHCN, Vietnam is officially shifting to a brand-new risk-tiered product management framework on July 1, 2026. Under this reshaped import system, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) will streamline customs clearance for specific wireless goods while strictly enforcing pending 5G mandates.Key Changes:

-The Fast Track (Medium-Risk): Handheld lithium batteries and short-range wireless devices (SRDs) will see less red tape. State quality inspections are officially canceled to speed up customs timelines, though standard safety testing still applies.

-The Strict Gate (High-Risk): 4G/5G mobile terminals, base stations, and radar systems remain under maximum scrutiny. Crucially, MIC will officially make QCVN 134:2024/BTTTT fully mandatory for all 5G mobile devices on the same July 1 deadline.

-Hybrid Hardware: Multi-functional gear, like laptops packing both Wi-Fi and cellular capabilities, must now clear all overlapping technical QCVN rules simultaneously.
